Overview
Bonus season for many of the leading investment banks and boutique firms is within the late January to March period and this session will look at some of the expected winners and losers and what this means for investment banker pay.
Investment Bankers are amongst the top priority prospects for fundraising departments, yet understanding what they do and gaining access to reliable data to establish their wealth is challenging. Through breaking down current year top performers and trends in the sector, this session is a timely opportunity to support for all in fundraising to make significant asks with confidence.
Whether you’re a long time researcher or new to the topic of Investment banking, you will be able to hone your skills as a subject matter expert in the science of income generation. This session will shine a light on the current state of the sector allowing for more in depth knowledge which supports internal ask planning and facilitates more informed conversations with prospects. Understand why some boutique firms pay out higher bonuses than larger more established firms.
This session will help you understand the differences between the role levels (Managing Director, Vice Principal, Associate etc) and the divisions they work in (M&A, Underwriting, Trading etc) from a lens of better understanding their remuneration packages as well as key dates, times and concerns of these roles to assist ask planning.

Jonathan Jeffery, Co Founder PyroTalks CIC
Jonathan is Co-Founder & Director of Pyro.Solutions & PyroTalks CIC and leads on data analytics and education.
Jonathan graduated in 2002 with a First Class Honours Degree in Business studies, specialising in finance, and holds a MSC in Banking and Finance with Distinction.
After graduating, Jonathan worked for a leading firm as a senior investment analyst, specialising in portfolio management and investment analysis, gaining a number of professional qualifications.
Jonathan then moved into higher education and lectured in company analysis, portfolio management and financial derivatives at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA level. He was also appointed as Associate Dean for Education for The University of Sheffield Management School. He left this role in 2022 to focus on Pyro.Solutions and PyroTalks CIC.
Jonathan has also taught at some of the leading European Business schools, and was a visiting professor at EDHEC University between 2013-2019. He also continues to undertake risk management and treasury consultancy for a number of leading professional bodies and organisations.
